United Nations - a failed experiment
Humanity is dying slowly in this world and we are not able to help it survive which is a really precarious situation. It is not that the world doesn't have good people with noble intentions of helping humanity. But these good people are forced to remain silent by the ruling dispensation.

Even champion countries are involved in human rights violations and speak up or become ready to take coercive action depending upon their business interests. We, humans have became so greedy that we are even ready to destroy humanity without blinking the eyes. People who believe that by eradicating one religion, creed or caste they will solve all problems are actually living in a fool's paradise. United Nations, which is supposed to take action against perpetrators of human rights violations is nothing more than a puppet in the hands of a few powerful countries. It has failed in its duty of maintaining its sanctity as an organisation representing all countries.

If we study the record of UN, we can conclude that it has failed miserably with its stated objectives which can be confirmed by the results in Syria, Afghanistan, Yemen, few African countries and now Myanmar. This world body only toes the line of USA rather than helping humanity to survive on its own in these war-torn countries.

USA's intervention in any country's internal affairs is solely aimed at exploiting its natural resources by American companies and helping the American economy to survive, so that it can rule the world. American has intervened in the internal politics of most of the countries including Syria, Afghanistan, Lybia, Iraq so that it can loot their national treasures in the garb of safeguarding human rights.

On the other hand, the United States always remains mum over human rights violations by countries which are its allies. Different UN reports have confirmed human rights violations by Israel, Pakistan, Myanmar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain etc but no action has been taken by either the UN or USA. It is a well known fact that Al-Qaeda, one of the most dreaded terrorist organisations after LTTE was originally conceptualised and run by its master USA. What actions have been initiated by UN against the United States for harbouring terror organizations like Al-Qaeda, ISIS and other terrorist groups which were used by USA as per convenience to break or silence other countries?

Although a report of the United Nations claimed that the Myanmar government had been responsible for slaughtering humans like animals, the world body has so far failed to initiate any action against it. The UN report on Myanmar is an eye opener for all of us and we need to come out of our slumber. Blind faith for a party, group can lead to such situation in any country because such blind faith leads to dictatorial mindset which can never be good for humanity.

USA, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Myanmar, Bahrain are some of the countries which have been involved in catastrophic destruction of humanity. Rather than taking any type of action against these countries, UN is playing into their hands.

Post the Cold War, USA became stronger and started a blood bath by involving itself in different wars around causing loss of millions of lives and destruction of property for which no estimates are available.

At the same time, such wars have helped the United States and its crooked allies in amassing monetary benefits by selling weapons to these nations. During the Cold War era, the world was divided into three distinct groups. One was headed by USA, the other by USSR and third one was lead by Non Aligned Movement (NAM) countries. India at very nascent stage of its independence had played a very crucial role in development of the Non Aligned Movement. The world needs to rethink and form a new world body besides the United Nations where the voice of even the smallest of countries can be heard.
