Kapil Sharma confirms his show is going off air citing ill-health as the reason
There have been a lot of talks and speculations going around stand-up comedian Kapil Sharma's show.

The show would come to a halt according to sources. There have also been reports on the show's low TRPs. This show which had once reigned supreme on television is now struggling to sustain itself in the top 10 list. Sources from Sony TV, the channel which airs the show have said that due to ill-health, the actor has been unable to supply fresh episodes.

Kapil has also confirmed the news that he is taking a hiatus from television due to health reasons. He was quoted by Pinkvilla as saying, "Yes, I am going to rest some days. It is just a drop of few episodes because I cannot ignore my health at this stage when my movie is also going to release and the coming schedule is going to be more hectic. I will come back with full force. I am thankful to the channel that they allowed me and did not put any pressure."

However, on a deeper dig, there have been revelations on why things are not going the right way. Kapils's mid-air altercation with fellow comedian Sunil Grover did not have a positive brunt on audience.

A report in Spotboye suggests that Sony TV is skeptical over telecasting further episodes of 'The Kapil Sharma Show'. Data research by Broadcast Audience Research Council of India (BARC) for week 28 between July 8 and July 14, has affirmed that Kapil Sharma's show could not even make it among the top 5 programmes. Some media reports have stated that Kapil's show now lies at the 14th spot in rankings.

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L'il Champs and Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 8 currently remain the top most shows on Television, while KumKum Bhagya, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Kundali Bhagya and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai are among the rest.

Recently, Kapil Sharma failed to shoot two episodes, one with the Mubarakan team and the other with Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma owing to health problems. A report in Hindustan Times clarified that Kapil was not keeping well and fainted on sets ofhis show before the promotional episode of Jab Harry Met Sejal could be shot. Sources claimed that this was due to stress. The shoot had to be ultimately cancelled.

However, Kapil's sister Pooja, in an interview to Daily Bhaskar, denied the reports of his fainting on the sets. She cleared that there were some issues regarding is health with low blood pressure and he hadbeen advised complete bed rest.

She said, "These days, bhai (Kapil Sharma) is going through lot of health issues and it's sad to hear that people are calling him unprofessional. He has always respected his work; he will never give an excuse to cancel his shoot. He is taking a lot of stress due to low TRP of his show."
